incidents and requests for service. The bill is submitted
to the insurance company, when
known. If we were unable to secure the insurance information
at the scene, you may receive a bill with a request for you
insurance information so they will be billed directly.

Why Does the Clymer Volunteer Fire Company bill for responses.
While
according to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, providing fire protection is the responsibility of the local
municipality, the Clymer Volunteer Fire Company receives minimal
assistance. The Borough of Clymer does provide Workmen's Comp
Insurance to the Fire Company and each municipality has a small Fire
Tax, this does not even cover 25% of our budget to provide the best
quality fire protection and rescue services.
While
the Clymer Volunteer Fire Company is VERY proactive with
fundraising, each year our annual fund-drive produces less
contributions and participation at our weekly BINGO's are not what
they used to be. In order to provide the quality services that
the community deserves and expects, the Fire Company
has turned to this option to raise funds.
Fire
Apparatus, supplies, equipment are not inexpensive and if we cannot
replace and/or maintain these items we cannot provide the best
service possible to our community.
